While the Mayans prophesied that 2012 would mark the end of the world as we know it... I tend to agree with Larsen... They probably just ran out of room on their calendar. A 1,762 year calendar is big (and the writer probably got bored chiseling away since there aren't even kitty pictures to go with). I personally am so excited for this new year and all of the wonderful happenings it will bring.
This year I am:
- Hopefully graduating from college, I was clearly not on the fast track
- Saying farewell for a short time as my little brother Gibber-Snibbs leaves to serve a mission for our church for 2 years in Louisville, KY. (Any readers in that area, please look out for him, care for him.. and feed him)
As with any other year, I know there will be rough times, I know there will be heartbreaks and setbacks,The last few years of my life have been very difficult, full of storms and dark clouds. There are times where I was so angry with the Lord I would shout, "Seriously?! What's next!?" I know the storms and dark clouds will persist but I can't worry about those things for I truly believe that it is only when we must overcome pain and sorrow that we truly grow. It is only then that Heavenly Father will pour on us blessings from Heaven (Isaiah 44:3). I hope that I continue to be able to recognize those blessings. I have so much to be thankful for. So much to be excited about. 2012 Is going to be an amazing year and I am so ready for it!
Bring it on!
