Cruise With Me
Reader Appreciation Give Away

Horray!  I am leaving for my cruise in approx. 45 minutes, and I am so excited!  I know I was going to post this give-away 2 weeks ago, but with finals, etc., things have been crazy busy here in MissPrissMorgan Land.

For those of you who can't come with me in person, I am hosting a give away so that you can come with me in spirit!  I have been trying to decide what to give away for quite a while, and I had a few ideas, but nothing in particular.  I wanted to give away some products I really like, and use all the time, but not necessarily all makeup items.  It was only recently that I decided to do a "cruise theme."  More specifically, my cruise, to the Eastern Caribbean.  To find out what I'm giving away, and how to enter continue reading below.

I will be cruising to the Eastern Caribbean, on the Carnival Glory! I will be vacationing Fun Ship style, for 8 days and  7 nights.  Below is my cruise itinerary and the corresponding give away prizes.

Day 1
Leave Las Vegas at 10 pm, travel to Miami, Florida, ship sets sail at 4 pm.

Last year, when I arrived in Miami, I couldn't help but notice how TAN everyone was.  I felt a little out of place because I wouldn't be tan until after my cruise.  This time I'll be golden bronze and ready to go thanks to Sun Laboratories Dark Self Tanning Lotion.  So for Day 1 of my give away, the winner will get a 2.7 oz sample size of this fabulous product!

Day 2
St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands!

For about a year or so I have been IN LOVE with NYX cosmetics.  They are very affordable, highly pigmented, and often compared to MAC cosmetics in color and quality.  Recently they released Caribbean themed eyeshadow palette containing 5 different shades.  While I am in St. Thomas, the winner will be able to enjoy the NYX I Dream of St. Thomas Eyeshadow Palette.  The colors not your mama's eyeshadow colors.  With pink, black, and green these colors are super fun to play with. (If you win and you need tutorial ideas, let me know.  I've created pretty looks with every color in the pallet.)

Day 3
A fun day at sea.

While lounging pool side, working on my tan, the Fun Ship Cruise will keep me entertained with activities, dancing, music, and contests.  Not to mention all I can eat/drink refreshments.  Two essentials any girl needs while enjoying a day by the pool are sun glasses and flip flops.  Old Navy flip flops are SUPER affordable and come in so many colors, Van Gogh would be jealous!  BF and I will both be sporting them, and so will the Give Away winner!  The bright pink color will look fantastic against her newly tan skin!  Sunglasses are also a poolside essential, so the winner will get a cute pair of sunglasses from Forever 21 as well.

Day 4
San Juan, Puerto Rico

I have never been to Puerto Rico, and don't know much about the culture.  However, {and I might be stereotyping a little bit here} whenever I think about Puerto Rican style, I think of bright colors, great music, clubs, dancing, and fabulous jewelry.  While I am in Puerto Rico, the winner will get to enjoy some super cute and colorful, earrings from my new favorite accessory store, Forever 21!

Day 5
Half Moon Cay, Bahamas

We all know how much I love Lush products, so to celebrate beach vacations in the Bahamas, I'm throwing in some Lush goodies!!!  The winner will receive a piece of Banana Moon Soap, a Sunny Side Bubble Bar, and a Big Blue Bath Ballistic.  The Banana Moon Soap, not only has the word moon in it like Half Moon Cay, it smells like a fruity vacation drink or Banana Boat lotion!  Sunny Side Bubble Bar will fill the bathtub with tons of gold glitter reminiscent of beach sand, and leave the water the color of a golden sunshine.  Big Blue Bath Ballistic will practically bring the ocean to your tub.  It is chock full of Atlantic Sea Salt, and seaweed, and leaves the water a bright, crystal blue color.  Combine it with the Sunny Side Bubble Bar for the oh so famous "Mermaid Cocktail."

Day 6
Grand Turk Island, Turks & Caicos

Not only does Turks & Caicos have b-e-a-utiful beaches,  this group of sub-tropical islands in the West Indies is composed of the larger Caicos Islands and the smaller Turks Islands.   It is also the place where Vikki, from the Real Housewives of Orange County, renewed her wedding vows.  Rumor has it, that along with San Salvador and Samana Cay in the Bahamas, Gran Turk is one of the contenders for the landfall island of Christopher Columbus during his discovery of the New World in 1492.  While I am here enjoying site-seeing, underwater adventures and cave exploration, the give away winner will enjoy a Nars Turkish Delight lipgloss, quite possibly the most coveted shade in their collection.

Day 7
A fun day at sea

When the sun comes out, one thing comes to mind, "open toed shoes!"  I love brightly colored toesies, especially when I am relaxing by the pool, and we all know what a nail polish junkie I am.  This prize was the FIRST one I thought of, and the inspiration from whence this give away came.  On the Fun Ship, my toes will have a french manicure, but the winner of this give away will have the option to choose from the 6 new shades in China Glaze's Poolside Collection.  Just released in April of 2010, this collection screams "summertime!"  Bright toes, tan legs, pink flip flops, OMG the cuteness is almost too much to bear... Oh did I mention that the winner doesn't get just 1 polish, but all 6 from the collection?!?  I thought so...

Day 8
Port in Miami, Florida and fly home.

So sad the trip is over...  and the airport can be a boring place to spend a few hours.  In order to beat post vacation blues I usually like to grab a few gossip or beauty magazines to make the trip home more bearable.  Along with 2 cutie pa-tootie luggage tags to help prevent lost suitcases, the give away winner will also receive a 2 free issues of  People Style Watch!

All together this Give Away is Valued at $150.00 (nothing was sponsored, it was all purchased with my own cash-o-la)!  Man, I feel like Oprah.

To Enter:

All you have to do is leave a comment on this blog post telling me about your favorite vacation.  Let me know why it was your favorite, what you did, who you went with etc.  Give me details!  I don't want to hear, "I liked Hawaii" because that is b-o-r-i-n-g.  Good Luck!

Disclaimer:

This give away is only open to loyal followers of my blog.  It is my way of saying, "Hello, nice to meet you, and thank you."  Part of making sure those enter-ees are "loyal" followers, they had to begin following my blog publicly before April 15, 2010 (I took screen shots of my followers list at midnight on 4/15, so I KNOW who was following).  If you enter this give away and were not a Public Follower of my blog prior to 4/15/10, your entry will not be counted.  So sorry.

Have a great weekend/week.  I know I will!!!

  1. Fun!! I hope you have a fabulous time on your trip! I have personally never been on a cruise or any sort of "tropical" vacation. The most tropical i have gotten was San Diego in January haha...But by far my most fabulous trip was my first time in NYC. Everytime I drive past the airport I get a little wistful feeling that I want to go somewhere...so one day my friend and I drove by, decided to go on a trip and went home to book one. NYC was a dream of mine forever and it was CHEAP only catch - we had to leave that week. We roped two more friends into going (split the cost of an NYC hotel room) and spent 4 days in the greatest city ever. I ended up moving there the next year :) Best trip/decision EVER!!

  5. Whoohoo, I'm #1, that counts for something right? ;)
Fav vaca of all time was actually a cruise as well - cruise with the family to Mexico & some islands on the CA coast. It combined my favorite things of all time 1) Tons of Sun 2) Shopping and 3) Free food! I even got to stay in one of the top deck rooms with a patio & everything...only downside? Sharing the room with my G-ma who snored like a hibernating bear. Oh, I also have a sweet video recording of my attempt at rockclimbing on the ship stuck halfway with the Aussie instructor yelling at me that I can do it while I'm yelling back that I can't & I'm done...while lots of people looked on. Good times.....
    p.s. I love your blog!

  6. My favorite vacation was my honeymoon with my husband to Six Flags. Ya, maybe not too extravagant, but we didn't have a lot of $. We still managed to have the time of our lives on our first vacation as husband and wife. Our first night we got pulled over for looking like we were driving drunk, when in reality we were lost so we were driving VERY slow! (Not to mention were LDS so we don't drink) I swear I almost laughed when he asked us if we had been drinking. Then on top of that, the cop didn't even believe we had just gotten married, even though we had "JUST MARRIED" written all over the truck! We had a lot of laughs and an awesome time!

  7. I know it may sound corny but my favorite vacation was my honeymoon. We stayed in a small cabin in a small mountain town in idaho. There wasn't much to do in the town besides eat amazing steak and go on hikes together. We had tons of free time to enjoy eachother's company. It's times like these, spending days with the ones you love that are the best vacations!

  8. A few years ago all of our girlfriends took a weekend trip to Salt Lake City. We only live about a hour and a half away from SLC and had been there millions of times.. this time we decided to act like tourists and go to things we've never been to. We booked a cheap hotel for two nights, went shopping, visited the Temple, Cathedral, the famous library, Olympic sites, etc.. It was a blast. I loved it because it taught me you don't have to go too far or spend a ton to take a vacation.

  9. AHHH You're on a boat having fun...and I'm at work wasting time by reading blogs ha ha

SOOOO my favorite vacation (other than my honeymoon, which really doesn't have any really fun important details...of course it was my favorite) was when I was 15 almost 16 and I spent two weeks with my cousins here in Vegas and then Newport Beach. I lived in Texas, so coming to las vegas was pretty fun. I got to go to the movies with a really cute stranger, hang out with my cousins that I hadn't seen for a while, and do a lot of shopping! Oh and I got to go to the strip for the first WITHOUT parents! ha ha i was pretty excited too because I was just getting old enough to date/drive and I had been lifeguarding all summer, so I was SUPER tan, SUPER blonde and SUPER skinny ha ha

After a week in Vegas we drove down to Newport beach and got to stay right there on the beach. SOOOO beautiful! We also spent a day or two at Disneyland which I hadn't been to since I was 4, so it was like being there almost for the first time. I remember we went to a swap meet there (on Sunday **gasp!**) and I got a really cute summer dress that I still own :) Also got my first tankiki cuz up til then my mom would ONLY let me wear one pieces ha ha Got my first REALLY HORRIBLE sunburn cuz I was so tan that I thought I could be cool and not wear sunscreen all day (i was wrong). It is some of my best memories of my cousins and growing up. LOVED IT!!

Hope you're having the best time EVER!!! Can't wait to hear about it and see pictures!

  10. Hope you have a blast on your trip!!! :)

My favorite vacation to date was Castries, St. Lucia!!! It is on the northern tip of St. Lucia! My boyfriend (hubby now) and I spent 8 days there 2 summers ago. We stayed in a bungalow style room at the Almond Smugglers Cove (funny name, huh?). It was the most relaxing yet exciting vacation EVER!! The main reason it was sooo special was because he proposed to me there while horseback riding, it was one of the best moments of my life. The 2nd reason is that it was soooo gorgeous there, I had never been somewhere like that in all my life. The third reason is I got to expierience thing I had never done before. We rode horses on the beach, went deep sea fishing, rode jet ski's, went scuba diving, and I even got talked into bungee jumping!!! Yikes!! It was so fun filled yet we took some time to just bask in the sun while relaxing and sipping yummy drinks. The food was excellent as well! We also took part in alot of cool stuff at night, they had cool shows going on, we got to see a break dancing monkey and a fire eater!!! Along with people dancing on stilts! We did a 3 hour whale/dolphin watching tour, and a rainforest tour in a gondola! All in all, I would love to go back and will never forget that vacation, most of all because that's when my hubby and I started our journey towards our wedding and life together, fast forward two years and we are married and had a son!!! :)

  12. And I completely forgot to talk about my trip to NY where the shopping almost made me bankrupt but I enjoyed the city so much. We stayed at the Marquis in Times Square and had the best view of all the action. Best trip I've been on so far!

  13. My honey and I went to the Philippines for 6 weeks! We went for work but it really felt like a second honeymoon for us! We stayed in an amazing hotel that had it's own private beach. We worked the graveyard shift and would get off work at 7am. We would come back to the hotel for a quick breakfast and spent the next 4 hours at the beach getting tans and swimming with the fish! I couldn't have asked for a better work trip in my life! The end

  14. I would say that my favorite vacation was when we went to Timberline in WV. It is a ski resort in the winter and in the summer you can rent the houses. Let me just say the houses are amazing! They are huge! I have been there about 3 times, all with big family gatherings there. It was so fun. I remember when we went for a drive and a deer was arm length away from me. They were all just hanging out on the golf course. It's in the woods so you have the feeling of being away but still get to go and do things. Just the smell of the fresh air is so nice. It is so peaceful and relaxing!!! I have so many fun memories and I will never forget it!!!!

  15. Yea!! Your cruise is finally here! I hope you guys have a blast! All the places you are going sound great!!
So one of my favorite "vaca's" was going to the Galapagos Islands with my fam. The wildlife there is so un-afraid of humans that the seals come right up to your mask when snorkeling, the birds don't move off the path so you have to step over them, and the 100 yr-old tortoises come right up to you. It was magical!

Have so much fun and take pictures! xoxo

  16. Ok so I don't know if I'm eligible to win or not but I figured it'd be fun to share anyways. My favorite vacation spot ever is Lake Powell. I go with my family and we stay on a houseboat for a full week (and yes usually by the end of 7 days everyone wants to kill each other but it's totally worth it). It's the bestest for several reasons: swimming, cliff-diving, tanning, boating&all boating related activities, fishing, hiking, and of course relaxing! And P.S. I'm totally jealous of your cruise :)

  17. Am I seriously the first one to comment?! I feel lucky! Um, fav vacation...there are lots, but going to northern Spain was pretty unforgetable. I went with two other girlfriends- we toured all over northern Spain visiting friends...eating lots of yummy food, dancing late into the night, seeing the sites, the beaches, and enjoying all the joys Spain has to offer. Definitely a must see before you die!
