Southern Cookin'

This morning BF and I went to breakfast. We went to a place I've never been, called Blueberry Hill. Apparently they have "THE best pancakes," and I, being a secret fat kid, am a true lover of pancakes. Anyway, while pah-roozing the menu, I stumbled upon some interesting dishes:

Basically a chicken nugget on top of a waffle.

BF was surprised that I've never heard of "Chicken & Waffles" before. Are you kidding? That just sounds disgusting! Ick, I'm gagging a little bit just thinking about it. And for those who are a little more adventurous, there are these dishes:

People eat this? Apparently they are very popular Southern breakfast dishes... I think I'll pass and just stick to my plain pancakes and maple syrup. Thanks.

  1. Ha ha ha. An anonymous commenter said that my thinking chicken and waffles looks un-appetizing makes me a racist... Ha ha ha. I'm not sure how. According to their logic, I really like spaghettii, so this negates the dislike of chicken and waffles? Fair, ok.

Silly readers are hilarious with their negativity. Take it elsewhere, I have no need of it.

Also, just for the record, I do know how to spell "perusing," I spelled it "pah-roozing" on purpose, for effect. Thanks for stopping by!

  3. Roscos in Long Beach, CA has the best chicken & waffles. We tried it this fall while in CA. So good, I swear. I blogged about it last October.
